Step back into the late 1700s with storyteller Alan Irvine for an evening of frontier tales of Western Pennsylvania. Through engaging storytelling, Irvine recounts the hardships, dangers, and determination of those who lived on the edge of a growing nation.
Listen to tales from the days of the French and Indian War and Pontiac’s War—of tense nights on the frontier, sudden raids, and the daily struggle to survive. Discover the little-known story of Virginia’s attempt to take control of Pittsburgh, and how it eventually became the Gateway to the West. Hear about the dramatic uprising of farmers of the Whiskey Rebellion.
