DESCRIPTION:CANCELLED PROGRAM – Join us Monday\, August 18 from 6:30pm to 8:00pm for a Civil War presentation featuring the role of Pittsburgh during the Civil War era as well as our region’s role and responses as significant moments unfolded. Pivotal events such as the election of President Lincoln in 1860\, the secession crisis\, and the attack on Fort Sumter will be detailed.  Other topics discussed will be our region’s major role in military production\, the Allegheny Arsenal tragedy\, and response to the Gettysburg campaign in the summer of 1863.
