SUMMARY:90th Celebration for library
DESCRIPTION:Join us at the Monessen Public Library on June 6th\, 2026 to celebrate the 90th anniversary of the library.  Festivities will run from 9:00 am – 2:00 pm and will include: children’s scavenger hunt\, library memorabilia\, photos of Monessen going back to the early 1900’s\, crafts for both kids and adults\, basket raffles and a program with “The Bug Lady” featuring all kinds of bugs and creepy crawlers.  The library is also selling Coupon Fundraiser for 12 Monessen eateries. Library merchandise will also be sold which includes T-Shirts\, hoodies\, coffee mugs\, and hats. There will also be refreshments.  Everybody is welcome! \nSchedule:\n10:00 am – Library scavenger hunt (ages 5-10)\n11:00 am -The Bug Lady program\nNoon      – Monessen Steel Mill History (John Golomb and others)\n1:00 pm  –  an open forum to share your favorite memories of Monessen and the library
